Xiaomi has launched the highy-awaited Redmi K30 during a launch event in China on Tuesday. The Redmi K30 follows the Redmi K20 series and brings some high-end features like a 120Hz screen refresh rate and 64MP Sony IMX686 camera. The smartphone will come in 4G and 5G variants. The phone also gets a completely new design with a unique gradient pattern. Xiaomi has tried to keep the smartphone affordable with the base version of the 5G model starting at 1,999 Yuan (approximately Rs 20,000). The company is yet to confirm when the device will come to India and other international markets.

The 5G model of Redmi K30 comes in four variants - 6GB RAM and 64GB storage for 1,999 Yuan (approximately Rs 20,000), 6GB RAM and 128GB storage for 2,299Yuan (approximately Rs 23,000), 8GB RAM and 128GB storage for 2,599 Yuan (approximately Rs 26,000) and 8GB RAM and 256GB storage for 2,899 Yuan (approximately Rs 29,200).
 
The Redmi K30 4G variant has been launched in four variants as well - 6GB RAM and 64GB storage for 1,599 Yuan (approximately Rs 16,000), 6GB RAM and 128GB storage for 1,699 Yuan (approximately Rs 17,000), 8GB RAM and 128GB storage for 1,899 Yuan (approximately Rs 19,000) and 8GB RAM and 256GB storage for 2,199 yuan (approx. Rs 22,000).

The Redmi K30 gets a 6.67-inch IPS LCD 20:9 display which is helped by a 120Hz refresh rate that was also used on this year's Asus ROG Phone II.

The Redmi K30 4G model is powered by Snapdragon 730G chipset and comes with MIUI 11 based on Android 10 while the 5G variant uses a 7nm Snapdragon 765G chipset. Both the variants will pack the same 4500mAh battery. The 5G variant will come with support for 30W fast charging system whereas the 4G variant will get a 27W fast charging system.

The smartphone gets a quad-camera system at the back with primary 64-megapixel sensor. There are also 8-megapixel wide-angle camera with 120-degree field of view, 2-megapixel camera for depth data and a 5-megapixel camera for macro photos. The Redmi K30 4G variant skips on the 5-megapixel macro camera for a 2-megapixel macro camera.

At the front, the Redmi K30 gets a combination of a 20-megapixel main camera and a 2-megapixel depth camera.
