Adding another device to its already impressive line-up of smartphones, Xiaomi has launched the Redmi 7A in India with Qualcomm Snapdragon 439 chipset, a massive 4000mAh battery, the 12MP Sony IMX486 camera sensor and a matte finish unibody design. The Redmi A series has been highly popular in India, shipping over 23.6 million smartphones in the country, with Redmi 5A and Redmi 6A having a 48% market share in $75 to $100 price segment in 2019 as per IDC India Monthly National Smartphone Tracker, April 2019.

Redmi 7A price in India and availability

The Redmi 7A price in India starts at Rs 5799 for the 2GB RAM and 16GB storage variant and the 2GB RAM and 32GB storage variant of the smartphone has been priced at Rs 5,999. However, this is an introductory price to celebrate Xiaomi's 5th anniversary in July. After the offer, the 2GB RAM and 16GB storage variant would cost Rs 5,999 while the 2GB RAM and 32GB storage variant will be priced at Rs 6,199. The Redmi 7A will go on sale for the first time on July 11 at 12 pm via Mi.com, Flipkart and Mi Home stores. It will also go on sale across offline stores soon.

Redmi 7A features and specs

The Redmi 7A features octa-core Snapdragon 439 clocked at 2GHz and a high capacity 4000mAh battery to ensure up to two days of battery life. It also sports 12MP Sony IMX486 sensor making it the only phone in its segment to sport the sensor. On the front, it features a 5MP front camera with AI Portrait mode for great portrait selfies. 

The Redmi 7A comes with wireless FM Radio to allow access to radio without the need of earphones. It comes with a 13.8cm (5.45) 18:9 HD+ Full Screen Display and sports a dual SIM card with a dedicated microSD card slot which supports expansion up to 256GB. 

Redmi 7A will be available in Matte Black, Matte Blue and Matte Gold colour variants.
