Great tidings! The first 64-megapixel camera smartphone has finally arrived in India! After months of speculations and rumours, Realme XT has been launched in the country, days after it was unveiled in China. With this, the Realme XT has become the first smartphone to sport a 64MP primary sensor in India, beating Redmi Note 8 Pro (expected to be first Xiaomi smartphone with 64MP camera) by a few weeks. The new smartphone which follows the Realme X, launched in India in July, was unveiled during an event in New Delhi and has been priced aggressively like other Realme devices.

Speaking at the launch, Madhav Sheth, CEO Realme India, said that the company is doing well both online as well as offline. He added that Realme was the number 1 brand on Flipkart in August and remains to be the second biggest brand online. He said that realme's offline sales grew 300 per cent in Q2-August.

Realme XT price in India:

The Realme XT price (4GB RAM + 64 GB storage) in India starts at Rs 15,999, while the 6GB + 64 GB storage variant is available at Rs 16,999. The 8GB + 128GB storage variant is priced at Rs 18,999.

To recall, Realme X had made its debut in the country in July, becoming the first premium smartphone from the brand. It was launched in two variants - 4 GB RAM and 128 GB internal storage priced at Rs 16,999 and 6 GB RAM and 128 GB internal storage priced at Rs 19,999. Both the variants had gone on sale in July itself.

Realme XT features and specs

The Realme XT features a 6.4-inch full-HD+ Super AMOLED panel with a waterdrop notch at the top. Notably, it has ditched the pop-up selfie camera that was used on the Realme X. The smartphone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 712 SoC and comes in three options: 4GB RAM with 64GB storage, 6GB RAM with 64GB storage, and 8GB RAM with 128GB of storage.


It sports a 64-megapixel Samsung ISOCELL Bright GW1 sensor with an f/1.8 aperture and electronic stabilisation. There is a “Ultra 64MP” mode in the camera settings that allows you to click pictures at full resolution. The other three cameras in the quad cam setup are an 8-megapixel wide-angle camera, a 2-megapixel macro camera and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. At the front, you get a 16-megapixel selfie shooter positioned in the waterdrop notch.

Realme XT smartphone packs in a 4,000mAh battery and has support for 20W VOOC 3.0 fast charging.
