In times of coronavirus, people are spending way too many hours in front of the telly. In case you are looking for a replacement or an extra TV in bedroom and want better sound and picture quality, then know that Realme is about to launch its first smart TV in India on May 25. The company has confirmed that the TV will be launched alongside a smartwatch during an online event. While several features of the TV have either been leaked or teased, the Chinese smartphone brand has now given us a closer look at its upcoming product by teasing it on e-commerce website Flipkart.

A micro-site for the Realme TV has gone live on Flipkart revealing several features of the smart TV including a bezel-less design and 24W stereo speakers. The company claims to offer a premium bezel-less design with Chroma Boost Picture Engine for better visuals. The video output will be supported by Realme’s image processing. The screen will come with 400 nits brightness, offering 20 per cent better output than other TVs in the segment. 

Realme has revealed that its smart TV will run on MediaTek’s 64-bit processor which is claimed to be the first in the segment. The sound will be delivered by 24W stereo four speakers, again claimed to be first in the segment, with support for Dolby Audio.

The micro-site says that further features of the Realme TV will be unveiled on May 20 with the eventual launch scheduled for May 25. 

The launch event that will be hosted on Realme’s social media channels, including YouTube. The Realme digital event will start at 12:30pm on the mentioned date. The Realme TV was recently spotted in a leaked image showing the screen size. The image showed the TV in its packaging in a warehouse, with a screen size of 108cm printed on it. This means the Realme TV will be released in at least 43-inch screen size. 

The smart TV is expected to be launched in two models - 43-inch and 32-inch.
