Chinese smartphone manufacturer Realme after launching its second smartphone in India, Realme 2, is all set to launch another smartphone next month. While unveiling its latest phone Realme 2 yesterday, the company teased about the new device which it later confirmed to be the Realme 2 Pro through a tweet. The firm, however, is yet to confirm the official launch date for the new smartphone.

Confirming to the Mobile Indian, Realme India CEO, Madhav Sheth, reportedly said that the new Realme 2 Pro will be launched in India within a month. The website further quoted him as saying, “It will be priced a bit higher than Realme 1 but less than Rs 20,000,” adding that the smartphone will come with the “best of the processor and best of design.”

The price quoted hints at the new smartphone running a higher end processor compared to the Realme 2, which can reportedly be either Snapdragon 636 or Snapdragon 660. Like other premium phone, it will also be expected to have 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The Realme 2 Pro is likely to be available exclusively on Flipkart. 

Madhav Sheth reportedly stated that the Realme smartphones will be having Android 9 Pie update, which will be based on the ColoOS 5.2, besides adding that Realme 2 can be expected to get the update early next year.

Notably, Realme 2 maintains a premium design like its predecessor, and offers new features including a fingerprint sensor and dual rear camera setup.

Realme 2 boasts of features including a 6.2-inch screen, powered with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 SoC, along with two RAM and storage configurations of 3GB/32GB and 4GB/64GB. The two versions come at price of Rs 8,990 and Rs 10,990, respectively. 

Both the variants will be available on Flipkart from September 4.
