FASTags, utilising radio-frequency identification technology (RFID), have become mandatory for all four-wheeler vehicles in India, enabling automatic toll payments at toll plazas. With Paytm's integration, users can now recharge their FASTags and avoid long queues and delays at toll booths.

How to recharge FASTags on the Paytm app, here's a step-to-step guide

  • Go to the 'FASTag Recharge' option under the 'Bill Payments' section.
  • Select the issuing bank of their FASTag from a list of options.
  • Enter the vehicle number linked to FASTag and proceed to confirm details.
  • Enter the desired recharge amount and complete the transaction with a tap.

Additionally, users can now purchase new HDFC Bank FASTags. The app features a separate option to buy the new one. Here are three steps to be followed for this:

  • Search: Look for 'Buy HDFC FASTag' on the Paytm app and select it.
  • Details: Enter customer and vehicle information.
  • Payment: Complete the purchase and await delivery at your designated address.
