Oppo has announced that it will be releasing ColorOS in India on November 26. The new version of the operating system will succeed ColorOS 6 on both Oppo as well as Realme smartphones. For those unaware about this feature, Realme smartphones continue to work on ColorOS even as the company has stated in the past that it is working on its own operating system. Oppo last week announced that it is releasing ColorOS 7 in China on November 20 and has now confirmed the release date for India by sending out 'save the date' email to the press.

The company might even announce the roll out plan for its older devices during the Realme X2 Pro launch event. Realme India CEO Madhav Sheth has already confirmed through a YouTube video that Realme-specific ColorOS 7 version will come with a nearly stock Android experience. There is no official word on the timeline of roll out though.

ColorOS 7 is expected to bring some new gaming and multimedia features. It can also include a system-wide dark mode.

Oppo launched the ColorOS 6 last year in November. The China invite for the releae hints at a new user interface with system-wide dark mode, improved gaming performance along with overall improvement in the user interface. There is no information available on the upcoming features of the new UI.
