Oppo has launched its new smartphone - the Oppo Reno 2 - in India on Wednesday afternoon. The smartphone succeeds the Oppo Reno and Reno 10x Zoom, both launched in India earlier this year. The latest offering by Oppo comes with the rising shark fin selfie camera which was introduced with the Oppo Reno series. The smartphone was unveiled during an event in New Delhi and will be available in two colour options - Ocean Heart and Misty Powder. The other highlights of the phone include a  6.55-inch AMOLED Panoramic notch-less display, Gorilla Glass 6 protection and 4,000mAh battery. Oppo has also launched the Oppo Reno 2F and the Oppo Reno 2Z.

Speaking at the launch, Sumit Walia, Vice President, Product & Marketing, OPPO said that the Chinese smartphone manufacturer has emerged as the number one company in after sales which has helped it achieve a 41 per cent Year on Year growth in India.

Oppo Reno 2 price in India and launch offers

The Oppo Reno 2 price in India has been set at Rs 36,990. As part of the launch offers, customers who pre-book within three days will get 10% cashback on HDFC Bank Credit and debit cards. They will also get 100% additional data on Jio.

Oppo Reno 2 features and specs

The Oppo Reno 2 comes with 6.55-inch AMOLED Panoramic notch-less display with 20:9 aspect ratio, Gorilla Glass 6 protection, and 93.1 percent screen to body ratio. It is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G octa-core SoC paired with 8GB RAM. You get 256GB internal storage on the phone. The Oppo Reno 2 packs a 4,000mAh battery with VOOC Flash Charge 3.0 support. It will support a USB Type-C port for connectivity.

The smartphone also offers dedicated Neural Processing Unit (NPU) to enhance different modes like Ultra Dark Mode and Bokeh Mode. Gamers get anti-cheat extensions, optimised Wi-Fi and 25 percent faster graphic rendering with the Oppo Reno 2. The company has used an in-display fingerprint sensor 3.0 with the latest G3 optical sensor fingerprint unlocking technology.

For optics, the Reno 2 comes with a 48-megapixel primary camera, assisted by a 13-megapixel, 8-megapixel, and 2-megapixel sensors.
