Oppo has launched another mid-range 5G smartphone in India - A79 5G. The smartphone is available in two colour variants Glowing Green and Mystery Black. The Oppo A79 5G, which weighs around 193 grams, is just 7.99mm thick. At the rear, the smartphone has a rectangular island with dual polished rings around the camera lens.

The smartphone, which according to the company offers a perfect balance between sleek design, smooth performance, and a fast-charging battery, has been priced at Rs 19,999. The smartphone will be available from tomorrow i.e. October 28, 2023 on e-commerce platforms like Flipkart, Amazon and other retail outlets.

The smartphone comes with an IP54 rating and the company claims that it has been subjected to more than 320 quality tests and 130 extreme reliability tests. 

The device comes with a 6.72-inch FHD+ display with a punch-hole camera and offers a 90Hz refresh rate. Users can enjoy HD video content from Amazon Prime and Netflix as the device has Widevine L1 certification. Also, this smartphone comes with a 3.5mm headphone port for wired sound.

Oppo A79 5G has a dual camera setup at the back with a 50MP AI camera and a 2MP portrait camera. For selfies, it has an 8MP  camera. 

The A79 5G packs the MediaTek 6020 SoC that comprises dual 2.2GHz Arm Cortex-A76 performance cores and six 2GHz Arm Cortex-A55 efficiency cores. The smartphone boasts 128GB storage and support for up to 1TB microSD cards. The Oppo A79 5G comes with a 5,000mAh battery with 33W SUPERVOOCTM that can juice up the device to 51 per cent within 30 minutes.
