OnePlus is set to heat up the competition in smart TV segment with the launch of an affordable product which will take on the offerings from Xiaomi and Realme. The company marked its entry into the smart TV segment with the launch of the OnePlus TV Q1. The company had also launched a Pro model of the same. Both these smart TVs were aimed at premium users, offering high-end features at a premium. Their price started from Rs 69,900.

The new  series will offer best-in-class  display , premium design and seamles s connected experience s within their respective price segments, the company confirmed on Monday morning. The new TV will be launched on July 2 through an online-only event.

As per Counterpoint’s January-March report, India’s entry-level smart TV segment (below Rs 20,000) amount to 45 per cent of the overall smart TV market, recording a whopping 80 per cent on-year growth in the first quarter of 2020. The mid-level segment (up to Rs 40,000) cornered 33 per cent market share.

The company had recently launched the OnePlus 8 series which is now about to go on sale in India. Along with this, OnePlus 8 had also launched an affordable wireless bullets – OnePlus Bullets Wireless Z. It also plans to launch a new smartphone and first truly wireless earphones in the coming month.
