OnePlus has officially announced the launch date of its latest operating system - OxygenOS 14. According to Kinder Liu, President and COO of OnePlus, the latest operating system will be launched globally on September 25, 2023. It is important to note that  OxygenOS 14 is going to be one of the first operating systems released based on Android 14. OxygenOS 14 is expected to bring a range of exciting features designed to deliver enhanced user experiences.

“OnePlus has been committed to delivering a fast, smooth and steady OxygenOS to our users. Powered by OnePlus' latest innovations, OxygenOS 14 will be the most intelligent and intuitive software product in OnePlus' history,” Kinder Liu said in a release.

The OxygenOS 14 comes with a tagline - “be instinctive and free to control,” which has evolved from “fast and smooth experience”.

According to the release, OnePlus is introducing its brand-new proprietary performance platform, the Trinity Engine, to OxygenOS 14. 

"By achieving greater synergy between hardware and software, the Trinity Engine unleashes the full potential of OnePlus handsets to address industry-wide challenges in pursuing higher power consumption efficiency, better multi-tasking capability, and more enduring fast and smooth experience. Under the hood of the engine are six innovative technologies, including CPU Vitalization, RAM Vitalization, ROM Vitalization, HyperBoost, HyperTouch, and HyperRendering. When combined, these technologies guarantee a versatile fast and smooth experience in scenarios such as multi-tasking, intensive mobile gaming, and long-term usage," the statement reads.

The smartphone manufacturer had started Android 14 bet for the OnePlus 11 back in May. 

Meanwhile, OnePlus is preparing for the launch of its foldable smartphone - Open. According to reports, OnePlus Open has been tested for 4,00,000 folds in lab conditions. This is simply double what Samsung tried on the Galaxy Z Fold 5. The fifth generation of foldable smartphones by Samsung is officially rated for 2,00,000 folds.
