The Chinese smartphone brand OnePlus globally launched its new device OnePlus 6T at an event in New York on Monday. The new smartphone, however, will be launched in India tonight at a special function. Ahead of its launch in the country, the new device’s predecessor, OnePlus 6, has surprisingly gone out of stock from Amazon India and oneplus.in.

After its launch on May 21, OnePlus 6 was available for sale at Amazon India as well as OnePlus online store, but now it is not available anywhere. The OnePlus is organizing an event for the launch of its flagship device OnePlus 6T in New Delhi today at 8:30 pm. As the flagship device was unveiled last night in New York, the only question now is about its price in India.

Post launch on October 30, OnePlus 6T will be available for sale at Amazon India from November 2, but Amazon India's Prime members can book it a day before. Buyers can also avail a bunch of launch day offers. As OnePlus 6T comes with a few new features like in-display fingerprint sensor and a base variant with 128GB of storage, the device is expected to have higher price than the OnePlus 6.

OnePlus 6 specifications and features

The OnePlus 6 sports 6.28-inch full-HD+ 19:9 aspect ratio AMOLED screen, with 2280×1080 pixels resolution, and it runs on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC and Android 8.1 Oreo OS. The device comes in a 6GB RAM + 64GB storage and a 8GB RAM + 256GB storage variant.

It has a 16-megapixel + 20-megapixel dual rear camera with 2X lossless zoom and portrait mode for better photography. The 3,300mAh battery with fast charging feature makes it a value for money.

OnePlus 6T specifications and features

The OnePlus 6T features a 6.41-inch AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution and a waterdrop notch at the top for a better screening experience. Running on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC paired with Adreno 630 GPU, it comes in a 8GB RAM + 256GB internal storage.

The dual-camera setup at the back includes 16-megapixel + 20-megapixel sensors for great photos. OnePlus has also introduced a new low-light photography feature called Nightscape for taking photos in low light, along with a 16-megapixel selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture and 25mm wide-angle lens.

The in-display fingerprint sensor in OnePlus 6T makes it different from other OnePlus devices. It runs on Android 9 Pie and will be available in midnight black and mirror black colours.
