OnePlus has officially launched its latest flagship model - the OnePlus 12 - in China. The latest smartphone is expected to make its debut in India in early 2024. Here are some of the features of the OnePlus 12 that are expected to be available in India.

The OnePlus 12 supports a wide array of network technologies, including GSM, CDMA, HSPA, CDMA2000, LTE, and 5G. 

Build and Design

The smartphone's body dimensions measure 163.3 x 75.8 x 9.2 mm, weighing in at 220 grams. It features a durable construction with a glass front (Gorilla Glass Victus 2), a glass back (Gorilla Glass), and an aluminium frame. The device is available in a single SIM (Nano-SIM) or dual SIM (2x Nano-SIM, eSIM, dual stand-by) configuration with IP65 rating.

Display

The OnePlus 12 comes with an LTPO AMOLED display with 1 billion colours, a 120Hz refresh rate, and support for Dolby Vision and HDR10+. The 6.82-inch screen has a resolution of 1440 x 3168 pixels, providing a pixel density of approximately 510 PPI. Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 ensures durability, and the display supports an always-on feature.

Performance

Running on Android 14 with OxygenOS 14 for international markets and ColorOS 14 for China, the OnePlus 12 is equipped with a Qualcomm SM8650-AB Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 (4 nm) chipset. The octa-core CPU, featuring Cortex-X4 and Cortex-A72 cores can ensure swift and efficient performance. The Adreno 750 GPU contributes to an enhanced graphical experience.

Storage Options

The device comes with a range of internal storage options, including 256GB with 12GB RAM, 512GB with 16GB RAM, 1TB with 16GB RAM, and a whopping 1TB with 24GB RAM. Utilizing UFS 4.0 technology, the OnePlus 12 offers high-speed data access and efficient multitasking.

Camera

The OnePlus 12 boasts a triple-camera system featuring a 50MP wide lens a 64MP periscope telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom, a 48 MP ultrawide lens and an industry-first LYT808 50MP main camera co-developed with Sony, OV64B 64MP 3X periscope telephoto camera and IMX581 48MP ultra-wide camera.

It also has  Hasselblad Colour Calibration, dual-LED flash, and various photography modes. The device supports video recording at 8K@24fps, 4K@30/60fps, and 1080p@30/60/240fps, with Auto HDR and gyro-EIS, as well as Dolby Vision.

Selfie Camera

For selfie enthusiasts, the OnePlus 12 is equipped with a 32MP front camera with f/2.4 aperture. The selfie camera supports 4K@30fps and 1080p@30fps video recording, along with gyro-EIS for stabilized footage.

Audio Experience

The smartphone features stereo speakers, although it bids farewell to the 3.5mm headphone jack. Nevertheless, users can expect a high-fidelity audio experience with 24-bit/192kHz audio capabilities.

Price

The smartphone is expected to launch at Rs 50,690 in India.
