Open Network for Digital Commerce or ONDC is a platform that allows restaurants to sell their food directly. The platform claims to provide cheaper food as it removes middlemen like Swiggy, Zomato, etc.

What is ONDC?

ONDC is a platform that lets people users order food directly from the restaurant. According to several screenshots being shared on social media platforms, the platform is providing food at a relatively lower price when compared to Swiggy and Zomato.

ONDC has been around since September 2022 and was first made available in Bengaluru. However, it started gaining popularity in the recent past.

According to reports, people can now use the app to order food in different parts of the country. However, when we tried ordering food from Noida, the money was debited by the platform and was returned with a message that "the restaurant did not respond so we are cancelling your order".

How to use ONDC?

While there is no dedicated app of ONDC available all over India, one can access the platform through ONDC network.
