The competition among gaming smartphones is set to increase next week with the launch of Nubia Red Magic 3 - Nubia's first smartphone in the country. The dedicate page for the smartphone is already live on Flipkart and the e-commerce website has already confirmed the launch for June 17. Now, a report by 91Mobiles claims that the Nubia Red Magic 3 price in India would start at around Rs 36,999 for the 128GB storage and 8GB RAM variant. The report adds that the company can put a even more aggressive price tag, taking on the OnePlus 7 priced at Rs 32,999.

In China, the Red Magic 3 has been priced at RMB 2,899 (approximately Rs 30,100) for the 64GB+6GB model. The 128GB+6GB variant is priced at RMB 3,199 (approximately Rs 33,250) and the 128GB+8GB model costs RMB 3,499 (approximately Rs 36,400). It will be interesting to see how many of these variants are actually launched in India. 

But, if the company decides to go ahead with the reported price tag, it would make the Nubia Red Magic 3 the most affordable smartphone in India boasting a 90Hz display.

Nubia Red Magic 3: What to expect

The smartphone is powered by a 7nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 SoC, paired with Adreno 640 GPU. It comes with liquid cooling tech - a feature found on most gaming smartphones. The phone gets Red Magic Game Space 2.0 dashboard which allows users to access game library, optimize phone settings, and also customize the cooling fan controls. The device sports a massive 6.65-inch full HD+ AMOLED display and offers support for HDR and 90Hz screen refresh rate. 

At the back, it has a single 48-megapixel rear camera sensor with 8K video recording support which is supported by a 16-megapixel selfie shooter on the front. The smartphone runs Android 9 Pie with Nubia’s custom skin on top. The company has done an impressive job by adding a massive 5,000mAh battery with 27W fast charging support. 

Nubia claims that even 10 minutes of charge can offer users an hour worth playtime.
