Google has gone ahead and launched its new local service app Aero on Google Play in India. Areo is an application that allows you to pay bills, order food, call a plumber, beautician, etc. The app is basically an aggregator for various other services provided separately on other individual apps.

Google Areo app bundles together different apps so in the food delivery section you various flip through various app such as Freshmenu, Box8, Faasos, etc. In other categories such as beauty and repairs UrbanClap currently is the main service provider.

During the launch of the app, it supports services in parts of Delhi and parts of Bengaluru. However, the service will expand to cover other regions in India gradually.

The Google Areo app shows you a map view and asks for you to confirm your location. It will then show you the various services that are available through the Areo app near your location.

It has different categories such as Food delivery, Beauty, Home maintenance, among others. They have large, easy to understand tiles along with text. The icons next to the price show both cash and online options.

A person can add different services, order food, etc from various providers and add it to the same cart in the Areo app. Meaning you can order Faasos, Freshmenu and order a service from UrbanClap and other them together. It allows for various payment options such as credit, debit card, net-banking, or cash on delivery.

Google Areo frees a user from downloading multiple apps on their phone for similar functions. It does not compete with any of these services such as UrbanClap, Faasos and Freshmenu and in fact takes the information from them. It works in the same way as Google's search engine.
