Nothing Phone (2a): London-based technology company Nothing has revealed details about its upcoming flagship smartphone, the Nothing Phone (2a). The standout feature of this new device is its custom Dimensity 7200 Pro processor, developed in collaboration with semiconductor company MediaTek.

The Nothing Phone (2a) offers a processor built on TSMC's latest second-generation 4nm process technology. This advanced chipset empowers the device to effortlessly handle any task with remarkable power efficiency and lightning-fast speeds, the company claims.

At the heart of the phone lies an 8-core chip, capable of clocking speeds up to 2.8 GHz. Paired with the innovative RAM Booster technology, users can enjoy up to an expansive 20GB of RAM. Notably, this configuration results in a performance boost of 18 per cent compared to its predecessor, the Phone (1), while also being 16 per cent more efficient in terms of battery consumption.

Furthermore, Nothing has introduced Smart Clean technology in the Phone (2a), a feature designed to regularly clean out-of-order file fragments. This optimization enhances read and write speeds, ensuring that the device maintains its swift performance even after years of use.

Display

The Phone (2a) is expected to offer an OLED display with a refresh rate of 120Hz, providing users with a vibrant and smooth viewing experience with a screen size of 6.7 inches, equivalent to 108.0 cm².

Storage

The device can offers storage and memory options, with configurations including 128GB storage with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage with 12GB RAM.

Camera

The smartphone is expected to be equipped with a dual setup on the rear with a 50MP wide lens and a 50MP ultrawide lens. Additionally, the device can have a 16MP front-facing camera for high-quality selfies and video calls.

Connectivity

Connectivity-wise, the Nothing Phone (2a) is expected to support Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, dual-band, and Bluetooth 5.3. It can also feature a USB Type-C 2.0 and OTG support for convenient data transfer and charging.

Battery

The device is expected to be powered with a Li-Ion 5000mAh battery.
