Nothing has rolled out Nothing OS 2.5 Open Beta 2 powered by Android 14. According to the London-based smartphone brand, it will offer several improvements - including new features for the Glyph interface for the Nothing Phone (2).

The company, in a release, said that users can check out the latest Nothing Community Update video for detailed information on Nothing OS 2.5. coming later this year. 

Here’s what Open Beta 2 includes:

Glyph Interface -

  • Glyph Progress integration for Google Calendar - keep track of your upcoming events with a 5-minute countdown

Glyph Timer -

  • Now supports time presets to quickly set your desired duration
     
  • Can now be opened directly from the lock screen
     
  • Option to open the pop-up window by tapping instead of holding
     
  • New Glyph animation when NFC is in use

Other improvements - 

  • Predictive Back is now supported on all Nothing apps
     
  • More options for the double-press power button gesture
     
  • Improved reliability of the three-finger swipe gesture

How to update?

Users already enrolled in the Beta will be able to update via the Settings > System > System Update. For those who want to sign up head to nothing.community.

According to reports, Nothing has already started working on Nothing OS 3.0 but its users will have to wait for quite some time before the company makes any official announcement on this. However, the company is yet to announce the dates for the official release of the stable version of Nothing OS 2.5 based on Android 14. 

Meanwhile, CMF by Nothing recently announced the first app and firmware update since its first product launch on Watch Pro and the firmware update on Buds Pro. According to the sub-brand of Nothing, these updates offer improved connectivity and precision. Users can download the latest CMF Watch app from Google Play or the App Store.
