HMD Global has slashed the price of Nokia 6.1, ahead of Nokia 6.1 Plus India launch on August 21. In April, Nokia 6.1 was first launched as Nokia 6 with the 3GB RAM variant at Rs 16,999. In the very next month, i.e. on May, the 4GB RAM variant of the phone was launched with a price tag of Rs 18,999.

According to the company, both the 3GB and 4 GB RAM variants of the smartphone would be available at Rs 15,499 and Rs 17,499, after a price drop of Rs 1,500 on both the variants. The devices are already available on the official online store of HDM Global India at the reduced price. The devices may even be available at an even lower price on some of the e-commerce website or in offline market.

HMD Global is also offering a flat 25 per cent discount on Makemytrip with Nokia 6.1. the other offers include Rs 2,000 cashback from Airtel on subsequent recharges, 12-month accidental damage insurance by Servify on opening Kotak 811 savings account and activating it an initial deposit of Rs 1,000.

However, options for no-cost EMI, free Airtel TV till December 31 2018 are also there.

Nokia 6.1 specifications 

The device features a 5.5-inch full-HD 16:9 aspect ratio screen and is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 SoC. The two variants that are available for the smartphone are 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage and 4GB RAM with 64GB internal storage.

Nokia 6.1 comes with 3,000mAh battery and runs Android Oreo out-of-the-box besides being an Android One device. The device sports 16-megapixel rear camera, 8-megapixel front camera and has a fingerprint sensor. The connectivity options include USB Type-C port for connectivity and charging.
