HMD Global recently launched the Nokia 5.1 alongside Nokia 3.1 and Nokia 2.1. Now, based on leaked renders and a 360-degree video, it looks like the company is getting ready to launch a higher-end variant, dubbed as the Nokia 5.1 Plus. The device is said to be a cross between the Nokia X6 and the Nokia 5.1, and will be featuring a 5.7-inch display with a notch at the top.

It looks like Nokia 5.1 Plus will feature a metal body very similar to the Nokia X6. Thanks to the notch at the top, the display is likely to feature an aspect ratio of 19:9. While the notch on the display looks big, there is also a big chin at the bottom, which makes the phone look taller. The phone is said to carry dimensions of 149.5 x 71.9 x 8mm.

Both the images and the video were uploaded by Tigermobiles. Though the source has had a good track record of being right in the past, it should be noted that the renders are based on factory CAD drawings. So, there is a good chance that the final product might look different.

However, the render images do give us an idea of what to expect in terms of some specifications. The images reveal dual-rear camera setup and a fingerprint sensor at the back. Nokia also seems to have equipped the phone with a USB Type-C port. Based on other rumors, the Nokia 5.1 Plus is expected to come with a MediaTek Helio P23 chipset, which should put it under the mid-range category.

It should also be noted that HMB launched the Nokia 5.1 only two weeks back. So, it is highly unlikely that the company will be launching a higher-end variant for the smartphone this soon. Rumors speculate the phone to be announced at IFA 2018, which will be starting on August 31. However, nothing can be confirmed yet and we ask readers to take this information with a grain of salt.
