That Amazon founder Jeff Bezos wishes to colonise the Moon one day, is an open secret. Now, the World's richest person (according to Forbes for 2019) has revealed he won't mind opening an Amazon fulfillment centre on the lunar surface. Wondering, what the Amazon fulfilment centres will sell on the Moon? Well, speaking at Amazon's inaugural Re:MARS conference in Las Vegas on Thursday, Bezos said he is contemplating that Amazon would start delivering liquid hydrogen and liquid oxygen in small selections on the Moon to start with.

Amazon has one of the most advanced fulfillment networks in works. A fulfillment centre, basically, takes care of all your warehousing and shipping worries and ensures that your customers get their products on time. This helps businesses focus on other things like sourcing new products, getting publicity etc. 

Bezos' colonise Moon dream project is fast taking shape. During a fireside chat at the event, the Amazon founder and CEO revealed his company is fast working on its lander 'Blue Moon' and plans to reach the lunar surface by 2024. Asked, why Blue Origin? Bezos said the industries of the Earth should be shifted to the Moon, while the planet should be zoned for residential purpose only. This is his vision for saving humanity and Mother Earth and also helping other space entrepreneurs. 

"We know so much more about the moon than we did before. (For example) it takes 24x less energy to lift a pound off the moon than the earth. The moon is close to the earth, it's only 3 days away. It's logistically a very good place to go. We need to move industry to the moon. Earth will be zoned residential," he was quoted as saying by Amazon Blog. 

Bezos said the Moon is a resource-rich neighbour of the Earth. There is water in the form of ice in the craters on the poles at the Moon. And that is resourceful because one can learn to make rocket propellants out of it, he quipped. 

Blue Origin is Bezos's passion project. According to Bezos, the Moon lander will help transport goods from the Earth to the Moon and to the outer space.
