Acting on its plans to go aggressive with Mi-branded devices, Xiaomi is set to launch its first laptop in India soon. The company has already launched several products under Mi brand over the last month including Mi 10 smartphone, Mi Wireless Earbuds 2 and Mi Box 4K. The latest teaser by the company with the #WhatsNextFromMi suggests that Mi Notebook is coming to India very soon.

In the teaser posted on Twitter, Xiaomi says “hello” to other laptop makers in the country Dell, Acer, HP, Lenovo, and ASUS. This clearly hints that the Mi laptop is coming to India. As teaser was posted by Mi India, one should expect the launch of Mi Notebook and not RedmiBook. 

The initial teaser was followed by a video in which Xiaomi India chief Manu Kumar Jain could be soon working on a laptop and then closing it by saying “It’s Time”. Post which the entire Xiaomi India also took to Twitter to post similar videos. This further confirms that a new laptop is arriving in the country.

The company is already selling Mi Notebooks in China. Xiaomi sells Mi Notebook Pro 15, Mi Notebook Air, and Mi Gaming Laptop under the Mi brand.  It had also recently launched a new lineup under Redmi branding. This included - RedmiBook 13, RedmiBook 14, and RedmiBook 16.

The announcement comes at a time when most people are working from home, generating an immediate demand for laptops. The category had also been in news with several industry players demanding inclusion under essential services.
