Xiaomi is set to bring the first ever 108-megapixel camera smartphone in India. The news was confirmed by Xiaomi India's CEO Manu Kumar Jain who tweeted on Monday morning that the country will soon have a smartphone with the 108MP camera sensor. As of now, only few smartphones are offering up to 64-megapixel sensor in India including Redmi Note 8 Pro, Realme X2 Pro and Realme XT. Jain teased the launch of Xiaomi's new smartphone on Twitter. "It's coming", he tweeted along with emojis that formed 108 confirming the spec.

To recall, Xiaomi had launched Mi Note 10 and CC9 Pro in global and China markets earlier this month with the 108MP Penta-lens. It is expected to bring of these models to India as well. Xiaomi is also expected to launch the ‘Pro’ variant of the smartphone to the country as well. If reports are to be believe, the global variant i.e. Mi Note 10 can come to India.

Xiaomi Mi Note 10 specifications

The Mi Note 10 features a 6.47-inch Super AMOLED curved edge display with an FHD+ (1080 x 2340 pixels) resolution and a 19.5:9 ratio. The screen has a 398 ppi density with a peak brightness of 600 nits. It supports HDR10 and DCI-P3 coverage. The Mi Note 10 has five cameras at the back along with a 108MP f/1.7 primary sensor. It is assisted by a 20MP ultra-wide lens with f/2.2 aperture and a 5MP telephoto lens with 50x digital zoom and optical image stabilisation, a 12MP, f/2.0 portrait shooter and a 2MP macro lens.

For selfies, the 32MP f/2.0 shooter is placed inside the water-drop notch. Ṭhe smartphone is powered by an 8nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G processor and packs a massive 5,260 mAh battery with 30W fast-charging support.
