One expected feature of the iPhone 16 is the incorporation of the A18 Bionic chipset, signaling a significant leap in performance from the iPhone 15 Series. Notably, this chipset is anticipated to make its debut in the base model of the iPhone 16 series, marking a noteworthy enhancement in processing power.

The display is also expected to receive an upgrade, with reports suggesting that the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus will sport 6.12-inch and 6.69-inch displays, respectively, featuring a 60Hz refresh rate and utilizing LTPS technology. Pro models are rumored to undergo more substantial changes, with the iPhone 16 Pro expected to showcase a 6.27-inch LTPO display and the iPhone 16 Pro Max (Ultra) featuring a sizable 6.86-inch LTPO screen.

Further innovation is hinted at in the Pro models, as leaks suggest the incorporation of Stacked Battery technology, offering higher capacity and prolonged lifespan. Stacked batteries, commonly utilized in electric vehicles and medical devices, could bring a notable boost to the iPhone 16 Pro models' overall performance.

The anticipated launch date for the iPhone 16 models is set for September 2024. Notably, a new addition called the 'Capture Button' is currently in the development phase and is rumored to be included in the upcoming iPhone 16 series. Positioned near the power button, the Capture Button is expected to serve as a physical shutter button, facilitating camera control and potentially acting as a shortcut for photography enthusiasts.

The Capture Button is speculated to bring a distinctive element to the iPhone 16, allowing users to have a more hands-on approach to photography. Technology analyst Jeff Pu predicts that both iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Pro models will feature the Snapdragon X75 modem, ensuring faster and more power-efficient 5G connectivity.
