The photo-sharing app Instagram is reportedly working on several important features that can improve your experience, including the video note feature, which will convert the audio in the videos to live captions. Apart from this, the messaging app might also get a sound for its Direct Messages. These features will be rolled out to improve the user experience of people with hearing disabilities, claimed mobile developer and leaker Alessandro Paluzzi.

The video note that Instagram is reportedly working on will turn the audio in a video into live captions, which means that the users will be able to read out whatever will be said in the video.

"Instagram is working on a new feature for the Threads app: video note. This feature will turn the audio of the video into live captions that will be shown in time with the recording," Paluzzi wrote on Twitter.

The feature is expected to help Instagram users understand what their friends are saying. The Thread allows users to send photos, videos, and messages with their close friends' list. The app allows cameras to add shortcuts and you can also send a picture of whatever you are doing in just two taps.

"You are in control of who can reach you on Threads, and you can customize the experience around the people who matter most," said Robby Stein, Director of Product, Instagram said in a statement.

Another feature Instagram is working on adds a sound to Direct Messages. It would allow users to choose a sound that would ring everytime you receive a DM on Instagram. Currently, you have the default Instagram tone on Instagram whenever you receive a message. The feature will allow users to change the sound as per preferences by going to the chat settings and from there you can tap on message sound to make changes.
