TCL on Tuesday launched P8E, India's first first 4K AI Android 9 Smart TV with hands-free voice search technology. The TV has been launched as part of Amazon's Prime Day sale and the company claims that it will be more powerful than regular AI TV. The TV comes with bezel-less full screen and has adopted the ART5 laser cutting technology to guarantee the overall stability of the screen, preventing it from light bleeding. The 55” P8E TCL TV will be available on Amazon, from 15 July. "The latest launch carries our 38 years of legacy forward, serving industry-leading innovations in AI & IoT to serve an integrated and immersive experience, within a price bracket that feels comfortable. The TV comes with far-field technology, the latest advancement in AI-enabled voice commands. This means that the P8E listens to your voice commands even from a considerable distance while de-cluttering the background noises. This allows users to control the TV. The technology also allows you connect with other smart home devices, equipping users to easily control robot sweepers, curtains, lights etc.

The TV uses an AI-algorithm which works in the back-end to enhance the picture quality, adjust the brightness, contrast, and saturation, to deliver a stunning picture quality. With this launch, TCL has introduced India’s first Smart TV propelled by Android Pie (9), the latest version of the OS.

The P8E series provides strong hardware quad core CPU, triple core 600-800 MHz GPU, 2GB DDR3 RAM, 16GB Storage, ensuring faster & smarter experience. TCL P8S also supports HDMI 2.0, USB2.0, WIFI 2.4G and Bluetooth connections. The TCL P8E price in India has been priced at Rs 40,990.

Last year in December, TCL had opened a panel factory in Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh. The factory marked the brand’s first manufacturing unit outside of China. It not only allowed TCL to provide Indian-centric products at competitive prices but also created over 8,000 jobs.
