Chinese multinational telecommunications equipment and consumer electronics manufacturer Huawei is all set to launch its P30 series smartphones in Paris today. The new flagship smartphones, which will succeed the Huawei P20 and P20 Pro, would be the first handsets Huawei will unveil. The launch event will start at 6:30 pm IST (2pm Paris time). Prior to the launch event, Huawei shared a number of teasers on its social media accounts, and most of accompanying images reportedly focussed on the long-rumoured super-zoom feature purportedly coming to the handset, with shots of the Eiffel Tower from a distance.

Both Huawei P30 and P30 Pro are top-end smartphones and are unlikely to be cheap in India. The website said the P30 Pro model will be more expensive. The price of P30 and P30 Pro is expected to be more than Rs 60,000. However, the official price will be announced at the launch event. 

Another technology website, techradar, stated that there's also murmurs of a third handset - the Huawei P30 Lite - and a new smartwatch - the Huawei Watch GT Active, as the Chinese firm has also teased a new set of headphones - the Huawei Freelace, which may also be unveiled at the event.

About Huawei P20 and Huawei P20 Pro, the website reported that the latter rivaled the likes of Galaxy S9, Galaxy S9 Plus, Pixel 3 XL and new iPhones, and the P30 duo is expected to rival Galaxy S10 and Galaxy S10 Plus.
