Chinese technology firm Huawei is rumoured to be launching two new colour variants for Mate 20 Pro smartphone. According to leaks found on a Chinese social networking website, Huawei may bring New Year Red and Comet Blue colours soon, but it is not clear when it would be available to customers. The company is yet to officially confirm the launch date of the new colour variants.

Originally launched in October 2018, Huawei Mate 20 Pro is currently offered in five colours of Emerald Green, Midnight Blue, Pink Gold, Twilight and Black. The new colours will take this number to seven, but this is ye tot clarified if these new colours would be for limited editions or would be permanent additions. 

Chinese website Weibo first published the images of new colour variants. Barring fresh colour, the new Huawei Mate 20 Pro variants are said to be exactly the same as original Mate 20 Pro models.

Notably, Huawei Mate 20 Pro comes with features including a 6.39-inch full-HD+ (1440x3120 pixels) OLED display, HiSilicon Kirin 980 7nm SoC, a triple camera setup on the rear, a primary 40-megapixel primary wide angle lens with f/1.8 aperture, a 20-megapixel ultra wide angle sensor with f/2.2 aperture, and a third 8-megapixel 3X telephoto lens with f/2.4 aperture. 

The smartphone, however, flaunts a 24-megapixel selfie camera on its front. Further, the Huawei device also sports a large 4,200mAh battery besides connectivity options of 4G LTE and Wi-Fi 802.11ac. 

The phone also boasts of having an in-display fingerprint sensor along with IP68 water and dust resistance.
