Taiwanese smartphone manufacturer HTC on Monday confirmed that three of its models- HTC10, HTC One AP and HTC One M9, will have Android Nougat update.

"So sweet. Android Nougat—the next version of Google’s Android—will be coming to the HTC 10, HTC One A9 & HTC One M9", HTC tweeted.

Last week, search engine giant, Google announced that the latest version of Android operating system will now be called "Ändroid Nougat".

HTC is the first company to come out with Android N update for its phone. According to a media report, HTC One M9 was launched with Android 5.1 Lollipop, but later updated to Android 6.0 Marshmallow. On the other side, HTC One A9 and HTC 10 were rolled out with Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

Google's announcement came after the company asked for suggestions saying that users could submit suggestions for the name online. Nougat is a sweet which has its origins from the middle-east ern region.
