WhatsApp update: Do you simply sit and delete or back-up chat history including old photos, messages and videos, after having realized that all this clutter will soon occupy so much of space in your cellphone that it becomes a major problem, causing the handset to slow down? Well, you are conscientious smartphone owner! However, there are not many like you. Indeed, most people just keep their old photos and messages no matter what!

So, here is good news to the people who have done this! The latest WhatsApp update has threatened to delete all old photos, messages and more that have not been backed-up. That means only that data will be saved, which was backed up and rest will be deleted. This is courtesy a deal between WhatsApp and Google and it will save only that data which was not properly saved in the iCloud Drive.

Yes, there is a deadline too! You need to backup the chats and save it within 2 months because from November the new Whatsapp system will be updated.

So, How to stop WhatsApp deleting old photos, messages:  

1. Open up your Whatsapp and go on to the top right icon which gives ''Settings'' option 

2. Click the 2nd option "chats"

3. Select the second last option  - "Chat backup"

4. Sign into iCloud - put it ''On''

5. Repeat this with “WhatsApp” tab

6.  Backup your data! Not so fast! You will need to head back to WhatsApp and go through the first 3 steps again and then only will you be able to successfully complete the process. 
   

This process will save all your important chats, pictures, video, voice message documents that are important for you.
