Tech giants like Amazon, Google and others have already come forward to help the people to locate the nearest COVID-19 vaccination center. As per a bgr.in report, WhatsApp is the latest addition to this list of tech giants.

On May 1, 2021 WhatsApp Head, Will Cathcart announced that the company is working with health partners to operate helplines in the form of chatbots on the messaging app. Cathcart tweeted, "I am thinking of our friends in India going through such a difficult time with COVID and grateful for all the work people are doing to help one another.  We're working with health partners to support helplines on WA like this one from @mygovindia."

 

The MyGov Corona Helpdesk chatbot was launched last year when the COVID-19 pandemic struck the country. recently, WhatsApp has added an option to locate the nearest vaccination center on this chatbot.

In order to locate the nearest vaccination center on WhatsApp, people have to follow certain simple steps. These are as follows:

Step 1: One first needs to save the number +91 9013151515 on one's contact list as MyGov Corona Helpdesk chatbot

Step 2: Then one should open chat on WhatsApp with this number

Step 3: Next one has to type 'Namaste'

Step 4: After this, an automated reply will be generated asking for PIN code

Step 5: One then must enter the PIN code

Step 6: In a response to this, the chatbot will send the nearest vaccination centers in that particular location
