Huawei's sub-brand Honor has launched V20 or View 20 smartphone in China on Wednesday, taking on Samsung's Galaxy A8s, which is the first phone unveiled with a display hole for selfie camera. The new Honor device comes with a 'hole-punch' selfie camera design, similar to that of Huawei Nova 4, besides a dual rear camera at the back, said an NDTV report, adding that Honor V20 will have its global launch as Honor View 20 in Paris on January 22.

According to the report, Honor V20 price starts at CNY 2,999 (roughly Rs 30,400) for 6GB RAM/128GB variant, and the 8GB RAM/128GB model is available at CNY 3,499 (roughly Rs 35,500). Featuring colour options of Charm Blue, Red and Midnight Black, the smartphone will be available at Tmall, Vmall, Jingdong, Sunning.com through pre-orders. The shipping of the new smartphone will begin from December 28. 

The company has reportedly launched Moschino Edition of the device priced at CNY 3,999 (roughly Rs 40,600). With 8GB RAM/256GB storage configuration, the new variant will be available in Red and Blue colour options from December 28 itself, the report said.

The key features of the new phone include a 48-megapixel Sony IMX586 rear sensor, HiSilicon Kirin 980 SoC, a 25-megapixel selfie snapper, 4,000mAh battery and Link Turbo technology.

The new device will reportedly flaunt a 'hole-punch' selfie camera design with a sensor placed on its top left edge, while the back will sport a dual rear camera setup aligned horizontally along with a rear fingerprint sensor. The back panel will sport a glossy gradient finish and tapered edges for a better grip, the report added.

Honor India, however, has announced that the new Honor device will be coming to India soon, and will be exclusively available on Amazon.
