Honor is set to launch its new smartphone – Honor 9X pro – in India on May 12, making it the first device in the country to run on Huawei Mobile Service (HMS) which is an alternate to Google’s Android. The smartphone will come pre-installed with the Huawei App Gallery and new apps which users will be able to download from the platform. At this point, a little is known about HMS and more information will only be available when the phone is launched.

The smartphone was unveiled globally in February and is set to be launched in India. The smartphone is expected to be a Flipkart exclusive in India. It is expected to be positioned in the mid-range segment, priced under Rs 20,000 in the country. 

Honor hasn't confirmed the launch date of the device officially, Zee Business has learnt that the smartphone will launch on the mentioned date. The company also dropped a major hint about the launch of the phone.

In a tweet shared from its official handle, Honor has hinted at the launch of a product powered by a Kirin 810 chipset. The tweet was later deleted. 

Honor 9X Pro features

The phone is powered by a 7nm Kirin 810 processor and features a 6.59-inch Honor FullView Display for enhanced user experience with upgrades across performance, gaming and photography. The Kirin 810 AI chipset is claimed to run on Huawei’s brand-new computing architecture to allow more sophisticated and diverse applications in AI.

The company also claims to offer a smoother gaming experience with custom Mali-G52 that enables Kirin Gaming+. The smartphone has a Liquid Cooling System which effectively improves heat dissipation during prolonged gameplay.

For optics, the users will get a 48-megapixel triple camera system. The pricing and other details of the phone will be available on May 12.
