HMD Global, which has acquired the rights to the Nokia brand, on Tuesday launched the Nokia 6, Nokia 5 and Nokia 3 Android smartphones in India. While the Nokia 6 is priced at Rs 14,999, the Nokia 5 is priced at Rs 12,899 and Nokia 3 priced at Rs 9,499.

These are in the budget to the mid-range smartphone category and comes with a full metal body. From the first look the three smartphones look quite durable, something that Nokia has been synonmous for especially in India.

The three smartphones are highly anticipated as the smartphones come with top end technology and for the first times comes integrated with Android operating system (OS).

In fact, Nokia 6 when first launched in China received a phenomenal response as the smartphones got sold within seconds. However, it is still early days and it remains to be seen if Nokia can make a comeback in the smartphone market across the world and India with the dominance of Chinese smartphone companies.

The revamped Nokia 3310 was launched in India in May for Rs 3,310.

The Nokia 6 smartphone comes with a 5.5 inch full HD display with Gorilla Glass 3 and Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor. It has a 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage which can be expanded via microSD card up to 256GB. In terms of battery it comes with a 3000 mAh battery and has a fingerprint sensor. It has a 16 megapixel rear camera and a 8 megapixel front camera.

The Nokia 5 is a mid-level smartphone with a 5.2 inch 720p HD display with Gorilla Glass. It has the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor, 2GB RAM, 16GB internal storage expandable up to 256GB via microSD card and 3000mAh battery. The rear camera is of 16 megapixel, while the front houses a 8 megapixel camera.

The Nokia 3 is a budget smartphone which comes with a 5 inch 720 resolution display. It has MediaTek MT6727 processor, 2GB RAM, 3650mAh battery and 16GB internal storage that is expandable up to 256GB via microSD card. It has a 8 megapixel front and rear camera.

The Nokia 6, Nokia 5 and Nokia 3 are expected to be available for pre-order from the launch and will later start shipping the smartphones after a week.

There is also a special ARTE black version of the Nokia 6 which has a 4GB RAM and 64GB internal memory which is priced at Euro 299 (about Rs 21,000). However, it is not yet known whether this will also be launched in India.
