India is one of the largest markets for Nokia globally and has seen the launch of some of its products first in the country. The smartphone will be releasing in India by mid-November.

The Nokia 2 is targeting the $100-$150 (around Rs 6,500 to Rs 9,700) smartphone segment, which accounts for 17% volume of the global smartphone market and over 30% volume of the Indian smartphone market.

This is a segment which attracts feature phone users looking to make a switch to smartphones and one of the single most criteria that people look for is good battery life. A reason why the Nokia 2 comes with a massive 4100mAh battery.

The Nokia 2 runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat and sports a 5-inch HD LTPS display. It has dual SIM and is powered by a Snapdragon 212 SoC quad-core processor that can clock up to 1.2GHz. It is coupled with 1GB of LPDDR3 RAM.

The Nokia 2 comes with a 8 megapixel rear camera with autofocus and LED flash, and a 5 megapixel front fixed focus camera.

It has 8GB internal storage, that is expandable up to 128GB via microSD card.
