Google has been very conservative with its hardware business but plans a major push for the launch of new Pixel smartphone, expected to be unveiled next month. The company has recently launched Google Pixel 4a and during the same event, it announced that the next-gen Pixel can arrive soon. Now, a few leaks have suggested that the launch can actually happen on September 30.

Earlier it was reported that the phone can launch some time in October but tipster Jon Prosser has now revealed that the launch is actually scheduled to happen on September 30. The new leak also reveals that the Google Pixel 5 could be made available in green and black color on September 30.  

Further, the leak says that the Pixel 4a 5G will also be launched on the same day in a single black colour variant. However, another white color variant of the Pixel 4A 5G is being tipped for October availability. 

The exact details about the smartphone will be available on September 30 but it is expected to come with a mid-tier Snapdragon 765G SoC, which has been used on a couple of smartphones till now.  

The smartphone can come with 8GB RAM and is likely to run Android 11. As for the other specs, Google Pixel 5's screen is expected to be around 5.8-inches. The display is expected to run at 90Hz, which will bring it on par with a number of flagships in the market. 

Google has also announced that it won't be launching the Pixel 4a 5G in the country. Instead, the Pixel 4a 4G variant will be launched in India later in October this year. 

To recall, the Google Pixel 4a was launched on 3rd August 2020. The phone comes with a 5.81-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 1080x2340 pixels at a pixel density of 443 pixels per inch (ppi) and an aspect ratio of 19.5:9.  

Google Pixel 4a is powered by a 1.8GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G. It comes with 6GB of RAM. The Google Pixel 4a runs Android 10 and is powered by a 3140mAh non-removable battery.
