The South Korea based smartphone maker Samsung Electronics has slashed prices of five models under its Galaxy J series in the range of 6% to almost 18%. The news was first leaked by retailer Mahesh Telecom through it’s official Twitter account. The retailer stated that Samsung has cut prices in models like J7 Duo, J7 Prime2, J7 Nxt in 32GB variant, J2 2018 and also J2 2017. The new prices are available in offline stores, however, online channels have continued to charge the old rate currently on the mentioned models.

In case if you plan to buy any of the above mentioned models of Samsung, then here’s what you will pay on these phones. Galaxy J7 Duo has seen a cut of Rs 1000 or 6.25% and is now sold at Rs 14,990 compared to previous market price of Rs 15,990. The phone is packed with 13MP and 5MP as primary camera and 8MP as front camera. It has 13.97 centimeters (5.5-inch) super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen with 1280 x 720 pixels resolution. It comes with 1.6GHz Octa-Core and has 13.88cm (5.5) FHD display while running on Android Nougat. It comes in 3GB/2GB RAM with memory expandable up to 256GB via microSD. Battery life is good at 3300 mAh. 

Just like above mentioned phone Galaxy J7 Nxt 32GB also has Rs 1000 cut in their price and is sold at Rs 10,990 from previous price of Rs 11,990. This phone is packed with  Octa core, 1.6 GHz, Cortex A53 processor paired with 3 GB of RAM having a battery life of 300 mAh. It runs on Android v7.0 (Nougat) operating system and has a memory life expandable up to 256GB via microSD. As for camera, the phone has 13MP as primary and 5MP in front. 

Galaxy J2 2018 prices are brought down by Rs 500 or 6.11% and are sold at Rs 7,690 compared to previous price of Rs 8,190. The phone has 12.7 centimeters (5-inch) sAMOLED capacitive touchscreen with 540 x 960 pixels resolution, 220 ppi pixel density and 16M color support. It is packed with Android v7.1 Nougat operating system with 1.4GHz Qualcomm MSM 8917 quad core processor, 2GB RAM, 16GB internal memory expandable up to 256GB and dual SIM (micro+micro) dual-standby (4G+3G) with 2600mAH lithium-ion battery. It has 8MP primary camera with LED flash, auto focus and 5MP front facing camera

Meanwhile, Galaxy J2 2017 has received the lowest cut of Rs 400 and were sold at Rs 6,190 from previous Rs 6,590. This phone has Quad core, 1.3 GHz, Cortex A7 processor,1 GB of RAM, 2000 mAh battery, 5 MP rear camera, 8GB internal storage and 128GB expandable memory.
