Several Google services like Gmail, Play Store, Google Cloud, Meet, and Drive users have been facing a number of issues in India. All these services are reportedly down since Wednesday afternoon, with a number of users taking it to social media platforms to inform that they are unable to access the services and send emails, download apps, and more.

The problem has affected those who have been using the Airtel broadband and mobile network across India. A number of other countries have also been facing this issue. 

Popular outage tracking portal Down Detector confirmed the issue by reporting that there was an outage with Google servers. Down Detector said nearly 62 per cent of the users reported problems with Gmail, being unable to send or receive emails. While 33 percent of the users are unable to open the website, the other 4 percent are not able to receive any email or messages.

The official Gmail Twitter handle has acknowledged the problem and said that they are working on the issue. The company is yet to provide a reason for the selective outage. Google responded to users, saying they were working on a fix to resolve the issue.

Alongside the Gmail app, the other Google services including Google Analytics, Google Drive, Google Docs and more are also showing signs of trouble to a lot of users across the globe.

There have been similar incidents in the past too where internet services have been affected in a particular region. Companies usually fix this within a few hours.
