Here is a step by step guide to recover IRCTC user ID and password online

Step 1: Visit the IRCTC e-ticketing website, www.irctc.co.in, and click on the ‘Login’ button given on the top right section of the homepage.

Step 2: Find the options of ‘Forgot User ID’ and ‘Forgot Password’ hyperlinked next to ‘User Name’ and ‘Password’ dialogue boxes, respectively.

Step 3: Now enter the registered email address, IRCTC User ID, date of birth and captcha code.

Step 4: IRCTC will send the registered email address with which a person can easily recover the user ID and password.
