Flipkart will utilise learnings from its tech-enabled supply chain to deploy drones and enable deliveries of medical supplies. These efforts will be complemented with technologies such as geo-mapping, routing of shipments, and track and trace of location, among others, developed by Flipkart over the years in serving millions of customers across the country.

All these technologies will then be used to conduct Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS) deliveries in remote areas of the state, where the infrastructure is not conducive for the fast delivery of vaccines.

The Flipkart Group is one of India's leading digital commerce entities and includes group companies Flipkart, Myntra, and Flipkart Wholesale. Flipkart has enabled millions of consumers, sellers, merchants, and small businesses to be a part of India's e-commerce revolution, with a registered customer base of over 300 million, offering over 150 million products across 80+ categories.

In a separate initiative, Flipkart has also launched a contactless, QR-code-based payment facility for all its pay-on-delivery shipments. The payment method not only ensures greater safety for consumers at a time when they are looking to minimise personal contact; but also addresses the trust deficit that many consumers might face. Consumers, who earlier opted for cash on delivery, can now use this facility, scan the QR code attached to their purchase and make a digital payment for their order through any UPI app at the time of delivery.
