Asus just dropped the father of all smartphones in China - the Asus ROG 2- which might just be the most powerful smartphone launched till date. A successor to last year's ROG phone, the Asus ROG 2 comes with powerful specifications, making it a high performance gaming device. The ROG 2 is the first smartphone in the world to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Plus chipset. The processor was unveiled only a few days back and claims to offer better performance than what you get on the Snapdragon 855 processor which has been used on flagship devices like the Redmi K20 Pro and the OnePlus 7 Pro.

Qualcomm says that the new processor offers 15 per cent improvement in graphics and four per cent in CPU performances. The smartphone also offers up to 12GB RAM and 512GB storage. The touch sampling rate of the smartphone measures 240Hz and 1ms response, which makes the smartphone faster than the iPhone XS Max.

The screen has bezels on top and bottom but Asus has provided a stereo speaker setup that Asus claims its 2.5 times louder and supports DTS:X Ultra audio. It sports Asus' bespoke cooling system with an air vent that helps keeps the temperatures under control.

Another area where Asus has trumped most of its competitors is the battery. The ROG 2 comes with a mega 6000mAh battery which is normally found on tablets. The company claims that you can play up to seven hours of PUBG sessions on this battery which is supported by a superfast 30W charging system. For optics, the phone features the same dual rear camera setup that was fitted in the 6z - a 48-megapixel primary camera and a 13-megapixel wide-angle camera - just that they don't flip to the front.

The company is yet to reveal the price of this smartphone and no details have been shared about its India availability either. However, as the ROG phone was launched last year around the same time, we could expect the new device to arrive in the country soon.
