With the launch of Dizo GoPods D TWS earbuds, the company is expected to completely dominate the budget hearable market segment in the country.  Priced at Rs 1,599, the newly launched Dizo GoPods D comes in two color options Black and White. We have reviewed the Black color option for more than two weeks and here are my views on it.

The major highlights of the Dizo GoPods D TWS earbuds are that it comes equipped with 10mm large driver and bass boost+ algorithm and offers 5 hours of non-stop music playback per charge and up to a total of 20 hours of music playback. The newly launched earphones are IPX4 certified dust and water-resistant as well.

In terms of design, well, both the charging case and the earbuds look good but have a resemblance to the Realme Buds Q series. The earphones come in a pebble-looking case with a charging indicator at the front and a micro-USB port at the end. The earbuds measure 19.79 x 21.41 x 22.36 mm while the charging box measures 60.35 x 44.61 x 32.54 mm. Also, the earbud weighs just 4.1g, making it lighter - which is extremely good in the TWS segment. We can say that the Dizo GoPods D TWS earbuds are very light, extremely comfortable for ears, and looks good on the ears.

Dizo GoPods D is supported by the Realme Link app for users to personalize the earbuds, such as adjusting sound effects, customizing touch functions, and updating the firmware to better align the earbuds with user habits. Intelligent touch controls allow users to play/ pause music, answer/ hang-up calls, etc. by simply tapping on the earbuds.

I used these Dizo earbuds on Android and on MacBook Air. The Dizo GoPods D is compatible with both iOS and Android devices, but it worked best with Realme and other android smartphones. The Dizo GoPods D is equipped with 10mm large driver, and bass boost+ algorithm. Together the driver and audio tuning help improve the sound quality and elasticity while making the bass sound smooth and good. The TPU + PEEK polymer composite diaphragm, additionally, brings deeper bass to give users clearer stereo output and a great listening experience.

The Dizo GoPods D features Game Mode bolstered with 110ms super low latency, which ensures that audio stays synchronized with visuals for smooth gaming and video experiences. And the Environmental Noise Cancellation (ENC) algorithm helps block out ambient noises during calls. With instant connection technology, the earbuds immediately connect to the device as soon as they’re picked out of the case, making the pairing ever so convenient and time-saving.

Coming to the listening experience, the overall experience was pretty decent and loud. There is a 10mm driver for bass, but it's no good when listening to bass-heavy songs. I really like the music while using these buds and the overall experience was amazing.  There is also environmental noise cancellation (ENC) that reduces surrounding noise during calls. While taking calls or watch movies for long hours and playing games such as Garena Free Fire and Battlegrounds Mobile India, I did not feel any discomfort.

A 40mAh for each earbud along with a 400mAh capacity charging case gives 5 hours of non-stop music playback per charge and up to a total of 20 hours of music playback combined with the charging case. However,  the earphones don't pack the active noise cancellation (ANC) feature. The case doesn't support wireless charging as well, the DIZO GoPods D charges via a Micro-USB port.

Verdict: Priced at Rs 1,599, the Dizo GoPods D is one of the most decent affordable earphones which comes in the budget category. The earbuds might be a nice choice for those who are looking to buy decent earphones at an affordable price range.

Meanwhile, Dizo has announced Dizo Days sale in India next month. Dizo will offer a discount of Rs 200 each on the purchase of GoPods D and the wireless earphones and Dizo Wireless earphones.
