iPhone ChatGPT app: OpenAI's ChatGPT has been a rage ever since it was launched. The success of ChatGPT can be gauged by the fact that there's even a premium subscription - known as ChatGPT Plus. The biggest benefit of the paid subscription is that users get faster response time and internet access. Now there is some more good news for iPhone users who use ChatGPT. The ChatGPT iOS app now has a built-in Microsoft Bing.

According to reports, these added features will be available for subscribers who are paying for them. To avail of this, users will have to pay a subscription fee of $20 per month for the ChatGPT Plus plan. 

What does it mean?

This simply means that ChatGPT, an artificial intelligence chatbot, will use  Bing - the web search engine owned and operated by Microsoft. This will help it to give more precise and accurate information based on recent data.

Those who are using the free version of ChatGPT have access to data only through the year 2021. So ChatGPT can only provide information up to the year 2021. So integrating with Bing solves this problem. 

How to use Microsoft Bing search

In order to enable web browsing with Bing on the iOS version, users will have to visit the settings and select the Browsing options under "New Features". Users will then have to choose 'browse with Bing' from the dropdown menu after selecting GPT-4 from the model switcher.

It is worth mentioning that the ChatGPT app is currently available only for the iOS platform. 

Tech major has invested billions of dollars in OpenAI and as a result, Bing replaced Google as the default search engine of ChatGPT.
