CMF by Nothing: Carl Pei, CEO and co-founder of Nothing, has announced an expansion plan for his company's business portfolio. Pei, in a public address, via the Nothing Q2 Community Update, announced a new budget line - 'CMF by Nothing'. According to Pei, CMF will make a new range of products that will be more accessible to a wider group of consumers.

"Nothing is dedicated to making tech fun again and has proven its abilities to break boundaries in industrial design. As such, the company believes it can make good design more democratic and impact more people," the company said in a statement.

According to Pei, there isn't a lot to get excited about in the value segment within the technology sector and CMF by Nothing will solve the "problem".

Emphasizing that Nothing and 'CMF by Nothing' are different brands, Pei said that they share common DNA. He also said that CMF by Nothing is going to focus on clean and timeless design and will be accessibly priced so that more people would have access to it.

"Understanding that different consumers want different things, CMF by Nothing will serve to bridge the gap in the value segment with better quality products that offer clean and timeless design," the statement said.

CMF by Nothing will first launch a smartwatch and earbuds later this year. According to the company, More details will be shared in the coming months. 

Nothing recently launched Phone (2), the second generation of the smartphone by the company. The smartphone is powered by Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset - not the latest but a capable chipset. The device has an advanced glyph interface and runs on Nothing OS 2.0. Nothing Phone (2) has the same dual camera setup at the rear but now comes with more capable sensors. On the front, it now has a 32MP camera.
