With the rise in the number of brands and smartphone sales, the issue of fake and pirated products have also become a big concern. The consumers sometimes felt cheated if they are not delivered the right product. However, there is now an instant cure to this problem.

If you already have a smartphone or if you are buying a new phone, there is a way to check if your phone is original or a pirated piece. Now you can check your phone's model number, manufacturer details, bands it supports and brand name either by sending a message or through an app.

To get the details by the message, type "KYM '15-digit IMEI number" and send it to 14422. You will receive a message with the above details.

If you want to check it using an app, then you will have to download the 'Know Your Mobile' app. Once installed, then you will have to enter your IMEI number and tap on 'verify' option to get the details.

By doing this, you can verify if your mobile is straight coming from the original manufacturer or from a fake company.

With this app, you can verify any IMEI number and can get all information related of that device as registered in global GSMA database. You can also check for the blacklisted number and can also get information about your phone even if you don't know your own IMEI number. You can also scan a barcode printed on the mobile cover box to get IMEI of your device.
