Charmed by lucrative marketing space in India's highly competitive smartphone market, Taiwanese technology company Asus has launched two budget smartphones, Zenfone Lite L1 and Zenfone Max M1, to make its presence felt and to give a tough fight to rivals like Xiaomi and Realme in the entry-level segment. Since India’s smartphone market is primarily driven by strong demand for the sub-Rs 10,000 and sub-Rs 15,000 price segment, Asus Zenfone Max M1 is likely to compete against Xiaomi Redmi 6A, Redmi 6 and Realme C1 in the Indian market.
 
Asus Zenfone Max M1 features 5.45-inch display with HD+ resolution and 18:9 aspect ratio, and is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 chipset. Sporting 3GB RAM and 32GB storage facility, this Asus device has much better camera setup, said a BGR report.

The Zenfone Max M1 is priced at Rs 7,499 and will reportedly be available during Flipkart's festive dhamaka days sale.  

Asus Zenfone Max M1 has a 13-megapixel main camera with f/2.0 aperture and phase detect autofocus. The company has equipped the Zenfone Max M1 with an 8-megapixel shooter that uses a f/2.2 lens for selfies.
 
Zenfone Max M1 boasts of a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. It runs Android 8.1 Oreo with ZenUI 5.0 and is backed by a larger 4,000mAh battery.

According to BGR, the Taiwanese company has partnered with Reliance Jio to offer Rs 2,200 cashback and 50GB of additional data to its users, if the latter uses Jio 4G SIM card and recharges with either Rs 198 or Rs 299 prepaid plans. The users will receive the cashback on their  MyJio account, and the additional data will also be credited to their account after the recharge.
