Taiwanese mobile phone maker firm Asus has resorted to aggressive pricing strategy to make its presence felt in Indian market, by launching Zenfone Lite L1. With expansion of product portfolio, the Taiwanese company is looking to grab a share in the highly competitive smartphone market in India. The new devices have been unveiled months after the launch of Zenfone Max Pro M1, which has become one of the best-selling smartphones in the sub-Rs 15,000 price segment. 
 
Asus Zenfone Lite L1 comes with features like a 5.45-inch display, supporting a HD+ resolution of 1440 x 720 pixels and this translates to a taller aspect ratio of 18:9. The smartphone has thinner bezels at the front, and the company claims that this display can hit 400 nits brightness and cover 65 percent of the NTSC colour gamut, said a BGR report.

Asus Zenfone Lite L1 is priced at Rs 5,999 and will reportedly be available during Flipkart’s festive dhamaka days sale.  

The new Asus phone flaunts Qualcomm’s octa-core Snapdragon 430 chipset coupled with 2GB RAM and 16GB storage, while supporting expandable storage up to 256GB via SD card slot. Sporting a 13-megapixel main camera with f/2.0 aperture, phase detection autofocus and support for modes such as beauty and pro mode, the Zenfone Lite L1's front boasts of a 5-megapixel sensor with f/2.2 aperture and support for beauty and HDR modes.
 
Having metal finish and features like face unlock and dual-SIM connectivity, the Asus device runs Android 8.1 Oreo with ZenUI 5.0 while being backed by a 3,000mAh battery.
 
The company has reportedly partnered with Reliance Jio to offer Rs 2,200 cashback and 50GB of additional data to users, who by inserting the Jio 4G SIM card and recharging with either Rs 198 or Rs 299 prepaid plans will receive the cashback to their MyJio account. The additional data will also be credited to their account after the recharge.

Further, Asus is also offering Flipkart complete mobile protection plan with both this phone at Rs 399, but it can be picked up for Rs 99 as an introductory price.
