While the Asus Zenfone 6 introduced the flip camera to the world, the device has been criticised by few users as some of them experienced slow and incomplete rotation because of which the company had to update the smartphone to fix those issues. Today, the company released an update which will possibly make the experience better. Notably, most of the items on the changelog for version 16.1220.1906.167 are camera-related. After the update, the camera is expected to rotate at a constant speed and should complete the full 180° rotation. Also, the Retract camera button will be more accessible.

Additionally, the electronic image stabilization (EIS) was tuned to work better for video recording. Super Night Mode was tweaked to produce better texture which was possible because of the improved noise reduction and renders more accurate colors.

The update also reduced power usage and increased call quality. Also the usual system stability improvements.  To check the update manually, select the option System updates in Settings > System.
