The Cupertino-based tech giant Apple, which has had a successful 2020 globally after the launch of iPhone 12,  has working really hard for the last few years to explore new price segments. According to the rumors, Apple will launch the successor to the iPhone SE -- the iPhone SE (2021) in April 2021 alongside the next-generation AirPods Pro.

Some recently revealed renders reveal that the upcoming iPhone model will miss out on the home button as well as the wide notch. As per the renders, the phone will include a punch-hole camera on the front right at the middle. This will be the first time that an iPhone will come without a notch. The renders also suggest that the touchID will be placed on the power button, similar to some of the existing Android phones.

Meanwhile, according to gizchina report, Apple will use both Face ID and Touch ID on the new iPhones (iPhone 12s or iPhone 13). However, instead of a physical home button, the company will finally adopt the in-display fingerprint scanner. This was a challenged in the days of LCD Retina iPhones, but it’s easy now that all iPhones have OLED panels.

In fact, Apple could have adopted the in-display fingerprint scanner long ago. After all, in the Android side of the coin, even basic mid-range phones have in-display fingerprint scanners. Apple has been working really hard for the last few years to explore new price segments
