Now, with the launch of new smartwatches, Amazfit is ready to bring more competition in this segment. Priced at Rs 13,990, the Amazfit GTS 3 comes in three colours:  Terra Rosa, Ivory White, and Graphite Black. It is available on Amazon for customers in India. We used the Black variant for more than two weeks and here's what I have to say about this recently launched smartwatch from Amazfit. Amazfit GTS 3 is equipped with a modern square 1.75-inch, ultra-HD AMOLED screen with 341 PPI. The GTS 3 is one of the slimmest and lightest smartwatches around. Not just activity tracking or wellness tracking, in terms of design, weight and battery the Amazfit GTS 3 smartwatch has ticked almost all the right boxes.

Amazfit GTS 3 is a touch-based smartwatch, and it has only one rotatable crown on the right side. The device has a super-sleek 8.8mm watch body that is made from lightweight yet durable aircraft-grade aluminum alloy and weighs only 24.4g. In terms of design, the smartwatch has an ocean-like curved glass screen and comes with a bezel-less design, for total immersion into your display. Also, the Amazfit GTS 3 sports watch has achieved a water-resistance grade of 5 ATM, so you can enjoy the sea or take a dip in a pool without worry. At the bottom, the watch houses a whole array of sensors, which includes a heart rate sensor, SPO2 sensor, and more. The rubber straps are soft and easy around the wrist. With the large display, this Amazfit GTS 3 feels light and comfortable throughout the day.

The Amazfit GTS 3 has a 1.75-inch rectangular display with rounded corners with a 72 percent screen-to-body ratio and if we compare it with the previous-generation model, this time the GTS 3 has managed to increase the screen-to-body ratio by 14 percent. The device gets an AMOLED display with a native resolution of 390x450, making it one of the highest resolutions screens on a smartwatch of this price range, offering 341 pixels-per-inch. The Amazfit GTS 3 display is protected by tempered glass with an anti-glare fingerprint coating. On top of the watch screen, it also has an automatic brightness sensor, which automatically adjusts the brightness depending on the ambient lighting, which worked pretty well. Thanks to the AMOLED display, we didn't face any discomfort while using the screen in various light conditions.

Also, this smartwatch offers a lot of customizations, along with support for always-on-display. This Amazfit GTS 3 has over 100 official watch faces, and you can even use your own photo as a watch face. The connectivity is smooth and easy, especially with Android smartphones. To use this smartwatch, you need to download The Zepp App, which is available for Android and iOS. Once you open the app, all you need to do is -  make a profile, select ‘Profile’, and tap the + ‘Add’ button in the ‘My devices’ sub-menu. Next, scan the QR code on your watch face to pair your smartphone with your GTS 3 smartwatch. Within the Zepp App, in the ‘Profile’ section, select ‘Add accounts’. In this menu, you can connect your GTS 3 wearable to Alexa, Apple Health (on iOS), Google Fit (on Android), Strava, Relive and WeChat.

Amazfit GTS 3 smartwatch has over 150 various workout modes, which uses a heart rate sensor and other data to compute the workout data, which includes details like calories burned, average heart rate, and more. The device is packed with many sensors including,  Accelerometer Sensor, Barometer Sensor, Gyro Sensor, Light Sensor, Optical Heart Rate Sensor, SpO2 Sensor, Blood Pressure onitor and more. The smartwatch can monitor stress with high stress prompts telling you to take some time out and perform a breathing exercise to relax and stay calm, similar to the Apple Watch.

Coming to fitness modes, the smartwatch is offering more than 150 sports modes, some of which are - outdoor running, walking, indoor walking, treadmill, outdoor cycling, rowing machine, elliptical, pool swimming and more. I did test a few modes on this smartwatch and I can say when it comes to tracking, the Amazfit GTS 3 is very accurate. For women, this smartwatch can also predict the time and length of future menstrual periods, fertility windows and ovulation.

In terms of battery performance, this Amazfit smartwatch has decent battery life. Once fully charged, the smartwatch can last for more than 5 days on heavy usages, and on normal usage it will give you more days. Also, the smartwatch didn't take much time to reach from 0-100% battery, which I think is an impressive performance for Amazfit. Overall, Amazfit GTS 3 smartwatch delivers long-lasting battery backup and didn't disappoint on daily usage.

Amazfit GTS 3 verdict: Priced at Rs 13,990, Amazfit GTS 3 smartwatch is a decent wearable. With premium looks, this smartwatch has performed better than many smartwatches available in the market right now in the same price category. If you are looking for a stylish and powerful smartwatch under Rs 15K, the Amazfit GTS 3 is a good option. It offers great value with a lot of new features and improvements at very reasonable rates.
